The "How Can I...?" series was developed as a lecture and discussion format within the EU project DeCO2 for the residents of the Terrassenhaussiedlung in Graz, Austria. Initiated by a dedicated working group within the estate, the series serves as a platform for sharing information, fostering discourse, and providing valuable services to residents.
From January to June 2025, the series will act as an information hub, featuring both expert residents presenting proven methods and external consultants offering insights into new solutions. The events aim to raise awareness about energy resources, provide advice on energy savings, and introduce environmentally friendly measures. Triggered by THS's participation in the DeCO2 project, the series also seeks to familiarize residents with its goals and highlight the benefits for both the estate and individuals. The target audience includes those with little prior knowledge, starting with basic explanations before addressing more complex topics.
The kickoff event in late January 2025 focused on "Saving Electricity Costs" in response to rising energy prices. Through keynote presentations by resident experts and external consultants, the event initiated discussions on practical ways to reduce electricity expenses. The "How Can I...?" events aim to strengthen community engagement with DeCO2 and promote a more sustainable approach to energy consumption.
