Integrating social, technological, and policy innovations for sustainable urban renovation in heritage-sensitive contexts: The transdisciplinary approach of DeCO2
Based on the DeCO2 Living Lab in Graz, Austria, this study examines how collaborative governance can support heritage-sensitive decarbonisation. The findings demonstrate how Living Labs help connect technical solutions, community engagement, and adaptive policy frameworks to enable sustainable renovation pathways.
DELIVERABLES
D2.1 Circular Design Framework
(Under Review)
D2.1 develops the DeCO2 Circular Design Framework, providing practical pathways for integrating circular economy and decarbonisation principles in building renovation. It supports AEC professionals with guidelines, tools, and best practices for sustainable and low-carbon construction.
D2.3 Comprehensive Analysis of Social Adoption for Decarbonisation Pathways
(Under Review)
D2.3 develops the DeCO2 Collaborative Research Framework (CRF), an evidence-based approach for engaging stakeholders and citizens in sustainable renovation and decarbonisation. It promotes collaboration between research, industry, policymakers, and communities to drive social acceptance and accelerate the green transition.
D4.1 Demonstration of Decarbonisation Pathways
(Under Review)
D4.1 defines the methodology and reporting framework for documenting, monitoring, and evaluating DeCO2 decarbonisation pathways across real and virtual demonstrations. It provides standardized templates and decision-support tools to assess the impact, replicability, and effectiveness of sustainable renovation solutions.
D6.1 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan (Version 3 - M18)
(Under Review)
D6.1 (Version 3) provides an updated overview of the DeCO2 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan, reporting communication, dissemination, stakeholder engagement, and exploitation activities up to Month 18 of the project. It highlights progress against KPIs, introduces the project’s innovation strategy and market analysis, and outlines actions to maximise the long-term impact, uptake, and sustainability of DeCO2 results.
D6.1 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan (Version 2 - M12)
(Under Review)
D6.1 (Version 2) updates the DeCO2 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan, providing progress on communication, stakeholder engagement, dissemination, and exploitation activities during the project’s first year. It reports KPI achievements, impact metrics, and next-step actions to maximise the visibility, uptake, and long-term sustainability of DeCO2 results.
D6.1 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan (Version 1 - M6)
(Under Review)
D6.1 establishes the DeCO2 Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication Plan, defining the strategy for maximising project visibility, stakeholder engagement, and impact. It outlines communication activities, exploitation pathways, and KPIs to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of dissemination efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
D6.2 DeCO2 Digital Identity Portfolio
(Under Review)
D6.2 establishes the DeCO2 Digital Identity Portfolio, defining the project’s visual identity, digital presence, and communication materials across online and offline channels. It provides branding assets, dissemination tools, and communication guidelines to ensure consistent, effective, and EU-compliant project outreach.
