On 18 April 2026, the second Eco-Breakfast took place at the Terrassenhaussiedlung as part of the DeCO2 Living Lab activities.

Around 100 residents and stakeholders joined the event, which combined information, interaction, and community exchange in an open and informal setting. A central element of the event were the interactive information and participation stands: the City of Graz was present with its Klimapakt Graz, alongside the energy community Parnhansl and the company Pixel Energy. The mobility initiative Radlobby offered a cargo bike for testing, while the Institute for Environmental Education engaged participants through an interactive game. In addition, residents could explore and evaluate the coloured photovoltaic samples developed by Fraunhofer ISE within the sister project HeriSol, as well as learn about the functioning of a micro heat pump.

These tangible demonstrations supported a better understanding of technical solutions and encouraged informed discussion. The event was complemented by a rich regional buffet, and, under sunny spring weather, created a relaxed, café-like atmosphere that enabled informal exchange among all participants.

Posters of DeCO2 provided insights into ongoing activities and invited residents to join upcoming focus groups. The Eco-Breakfast once again demonstrated how low-threshold, participatory formats can successfully connect research, technology, and everyday practices, strengthening engagement and fostering collective pathways towards sustainable transformation.
