On 16 October 2025, the DeCO2 project was featured at a dedicated research showcase held during the inaugural RUN EU Day hosted at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Athlone Campus. The event formed part of the Regional University Network – European University (RUN EU) initiative, a collaborative alliance of higher education institutions committed to advancing transformative education, research excellence, and cross-border innovation within Europe. RUN EU brings together universities, industry partners, and regional stakeholders to develop joint research activities, foster talent, and support the creation of sustainable, socially responsible solutions to contemporary societal challenges.

At the showcase, researcher Soheil Farshbaf presented a detailed poster outlining the principal aims and scientific direction of the DeCO2 project. His contribution highlighted the project’s central objectives, methodological approach, and anticipated impact across its research domain. Throughout the event, he engaged actively with attendees, including potential stakeholders, academic collaborators, and industry representatives. These discussions provided valuable opportunities to exchange ideas, explore future partnerships, and raise awareness of the project’s relevance within a wider European research context.

The presentation of DeCO2 at this inaugural RUN EU gathering underscored the project’s alignment with the network’s mission to promote collaborative innovation and strengthen research capacity across member institutions.
